3. Choose an “instrument category” on the left side of the upper pane, and then an “instrument” from the right side. Tap or press the keys on the screen or on the corresponding keys on your computer’s keyboard. Experiment!

Now, to add these sounds to the green track:

1. Position the Playhead in the timeline where you want to add a sound effect.

2. Make sure the red Enable Recording button is selected in the green track.

3. Click the round red Record button.

4. Tap the keys in the Musical Typing window or on your keyboard.

5. When finished, click the Play button to stop the recording and to stop the Playhead.

6. Close the Musical Typing window to disable it.
